Barbour began in 1894, in South Shields England, where Founder John Barbour supplied the first weatherproof garments to the community of sailors & fishermen. Now, Barbour is a British lifestyle & legendary outerwear brand (think iconic wax jackets), and continues to produce wax jackets.
